welcome enter

It is my pleasure to share with you some of my best pictures and some of my thoughts about art and life. You can find three series of photographs on the site:
           Silent Rhythms
           Of Stone and Cross
           Pictures of Light
I took my first photographs as a child, but I was nearly 40 when my hobby turned into something more meaningful, the art of photography. After participating in some collective exhibitions, my first stand-alone exhibition entitled Fényrajzok (Pictures of Light) opened in October 2007 in Ballonyi Galéria, Budapest. Six months later, in April 2008, I exhibited my second series under the title Kő és kereszt (Of Stone and Cross) in the Exhibition Hall of the Central European University, Budapest. The same exhibition was also on show in Kántor Galéria, Pilisszentkereszt - a small village near Budapest - in December of the same year. In June 2009, I crossed the border and exhibited a selection of my pictures in Galerija Laurus, Lovran in Croatia. Soon after, on the occasion of the Day of Hungarian Photography my third series, Csendes ritmusok (Silent Rhythms) was exhibited in August 2009 in Csekovszky Árpád Művelődési Ház, Rákosliget, Budapest.
I was born in 1966. I live in Budapest, Hungary. In 1992 I graduated as a secondary school teacher of history and English language and literature at ELTE University, Budapest. Later I studied law and political sciences, while worked as a librarian at the Mediaeval Studies Department of the Central European University, Budapest. After having graduated at the Faculty of Law of the University of Szeged, I worked as a junior lawyer for a while, and then as a public service official in the mayor's office of a small town near Budapest.
I was active in local politics for more than 18 years following the political transition of 1989/1990. Between 1990 and 2008 I was a member of the city council of Budapest 17th district (Rákosmente), elected five times consecutively in the electorial district of Rákosliget, acting also as deputy mayor of Rákosmente during the last two years of this period. In 2008 I ended my political career after having been appointed deputy chief executive of the municipality. Since then I have been working in public administration.
